Terms and Conditions

  1. Introduction
    1. These Terms and Conditions govern the “Boundless Adventures” competition (“Competition”) organised by Zenith Car Rental Trading as Avis Budget Rent a Car (“Organizer”).
    2. By participating in this Competition, all participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  2. Eligibility
    1. The Competition is open to legal residents of South Africa aged 18 years and older.
    2. Employees of the Organiser, their partners and suppliers, their immediate families, and any other person directly involved with the organisation of the Competition are not eligible to enter.
  3. Competition Period
    1. The Competition commences on 1 July 2024 and ends on 31 December 2024 (“Competition Period”).
    2. Entries received after the Competition Period will not be considered.
  4. How to Enter
    1. Instant Prizes:
      1. Follow Budget Rent a Car on Facebook, X, TikTok and Instagram.
      2. Like the Budget Rent a Car competition post on any of these platforms.
      3. Post a picture and/or video of your adventure, tag Budget Rent a Car, and use the hashtag #BoundlessAdventures.
    2. Monthly Prize:
      1. Enter your personal details and grant us permission to send marketing and promotional material on the competition microsite, at www.budgetboundlessadventures.co.za
      2. Follow step 4.2.1
    3. Grand Prize:
      1. Follow steps 4.3.2
      2. Book and rent a car from Budget Rent a Car anytime between 1 July 2024 and 31 December 2024.
      3. Ensure that the rental is completed within South Africa.
      4. Register your entry at www.budget.co.za
  5. Prizes
    1. Instant Prizes: Various prizes worth up to R5000 each will be awarded randomly throughout the Competition Period.
    2. Monthly Prizes: R10,000 in cash and experience vouchers will be awarded each month to one winner.
    3. Grand Prize: One pre-owned vehicle worth R250,000 will be awarded to one winner at the end of the Competition Period. The vehicle will be procured through the organiser’s Avis Car Sales inventory.
  6. Winner Selection and Notification
    1. Instant Prize winners will be selected at random and notified via direct message on the social media platform used to enter.
    2. Monthly Prize winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries received each month and notified via email or telephone
    3. The Grand Prize winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Competition Period and notified via direct message on the social media platform used to enter.
    4. Winners must respond within 14 days of notification. Failure to respond within this period will result in forfeiture of the prize and a new winner will be selected.
  7. General Conditions
    1. All entries must be original and not violate any third party’s rights.
    2. The Organizer reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
    3. The Organiser is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information supplied to the Organizer by any entrant or any other person.
    4. The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other form of compensation.
    5. Standard Rental Terms and Conditions apply.
  8. Limitation of Liability
    1. The Organiser shall not be responsible for any loss or damage suffered as a result of participating in the Competition, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
    2. The Organiser is not liable for any technical or human error that may occur during the administration of the Competition.
  9. Publicity
    1. By entering the Competition, participants agree to the use of their name, image, and entry for promotional purposes without compensation.
  10. Privacy
    1. Personal data provided by participants will be used solely for the purpose of administering the Competition and in accordance with the Organiser’s privacy policy.
  11. Governing Law
    1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
